Michael Griffith

International criminal defense for Americans abroad.

Counsel for clients arrested or convicted overseas — coordinating defense across borders and assisting with transfer back to the United States.

Practice

When the arrest is outside the United States.

Foreign detention raises different procedures, different counsel, and different timelines. The work is coordination first — then advocacy.

Prisoner transfer

Assistance for Americans convicted overseas who seek transfer back to the United States under applicable treaties and procedures.

International coordination

A network of foreign criminal lawyers, used together with Mr. Griffith to organize defense across jurisdictions — experience counseling clients in prisons in over 25 countries.
